Local Government

Eagle Nest is a charming and close knit village located near the banks of Eagle Nest Lake in central New Mexico. Our community is committed to preserving the beauty of our pristine lake and forests while encouraging visitors to enjoy the many outdoor activities the area has to offer. Mayor Richard A Cordova leads our local government with a deep dedication and determination to the town and its citizens, and other government leaders and committees work tirelessly for the welfare and controlled growth of our village.

There’s a sense of small town hospitality that is felt by anyone who’s ever been to Eagle Nest. From our volunteer fire department to those committed individuals who run our library and community center, it’s clear to see that the people of the Village of Eagle Nest love their community and are happy to lend a hand when needed. Visitors and tourists can feel this friendliness. That’s why many return year after year.

If you need help, have a suggestion or simply need the answer to a question, feel free to contact any of our government representatives who will be happy to serve you.
